Partners For Sustainability
Partners for Sustainability are donors who choose to provide ongoing support for Kitsap Habitat through a monthly Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from their checking or savings account.
The Partners for Sustainability Program is guided by three key values:
- Stability – Partners for Sustainability provide monthly funding that Kitsap Habitat can depend on. This stability makes it possible for the construction team to accurately plan the homebuilding process.
- Continuity – Partners for Sustainability develop a deep partnership with Kitsap Habitat, providing a continual stream of affordable houses to families in need throughout Kitsap County.
- Hope – Partners for Sustainability breathe hope into the lives of our partner families. This hope transforms them as they understand that they will no longer be defined not by the struggles of their past but by the new opportunities that homeownership offers them.
To become a Partner for Sustainability fill out this form and return it along with a voided check to the address indicated. If you have any questions about this program do not hesitate to contact the Resource Development Department at 360.479.3853 or rd@kitsaphabitat.org.
Matching Gift Programs
A matching
gift from your employer could effectively double or even triple
your gift. Many corporations have matching
gift programs for their current or retired employees. To
give a matching gift, contact your company’s human resources
department to obtain the correct form, fill out the donor section,
and include it with your gift.
Home Sponsorship
Home Sponsorship
provides a unique opportunity for the donor literally to change
the reality of a family. A home sponsor
commits to provide the funds for construction of an entire home, currently $66,000. Home
sponsors will be provided with special opportunities to interact
with and get to know the family that will be partnering with
Habitat to buy the home. To learn more about sponsoring
a home please call Robb Bowman, Resource Development Manager at 360.550.2443.
Planned Giving
Charitable Bequests
A charitable bequest to Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County
is a great way to make a gift toward the mission of ending
substandard housing beyond your lifetime. A bequest is
a provision in one’s last will and testament where an asset
or percentage of the remainder of the donor’s estate is transferred
to Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County. A bequest can
also be made by adding a codicil to your existing will. Please
contact Robb Bowman, Resource Development Manager, at 360.550.2443
if you are interested in receiving more information.
Charitable Gift Annuities
A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) through Habitat for Humanity
of Kitsap County is a good partnership option for retired donors
on a fixed income. When an individual signs up for a
CGA they will transfer an asset to Habitat. Habitat signs
a contract to pay annual income to the donor for their lifetime.
After the donor’s lifetime the remainder of the asset will
be transferred to Habitat to build more homes.
Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County
administers charitable gift annuities through Habitat for Humanity
International. The
minimum gift amount for a CGA is $5,000. For more information
call Robb Bowman at 360.550.2443
